Yeah. Look at the runs scored in that series. The pitches in this country are almost without exception very good, if anything sometimes too flat. We have bowlers who are highly skilled in taking full advantage of any assistance offered by the pitch and the atmospherics, which are largely out of our control.Pretty sure Jimmy criticised the pitches in the ashes saying they were too flat/suited Australia
That’s been the case here as well with their bowlers who have done it better than we’ve managed to. But, this pitch is substandard, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with saying that. There is mitigation in that there were players running all over it for 5 days, a week ago and the ground staff would have been limited in the amount of preparation they could do on it. But given the state of the series, the sacking of the groundsman, the way Kohli et al have behaved in the game, it leaves a bad taste.
