The thing people outside England dont understand, and I am just reading all the comments on twitter by Indians kicking off

is that low scores in England are to do with with the weather conditions, not the pitch, of course its still difficult, but its nothing that England can themselves apply, its just pot luck

People outside England really seem to struggle with this concept, Aussies and indians in particular

aye he gives it away too much like, he needs backing obviously, but he hasnt kicked on from South Africa and the team have actually carried him the last year.

He kind of reminds me of Bell early on. Classy player who hasn't quite worked out his game in tough circumstances of test cricket yet. He definitely needs to be given a long run in the side and chance to learn imo.
 
I wish they wouldn’t keep showing replays of the wickets...nipped to the back door for a tab and all ya hear are screaming Indians 😂😂
 
He will probably get out now but I have never not been impressed with Foakes. His glove work is superb and he can hold a bat. He would be in every time for me. Butler, Bairstow etc need to earn their place as a batsmen. We seem to indulge the former, obviously a fantastic cricketer but just doesn’t quite fit in the Test team.

I'll never get that point about the WC final. I mean, I agree it was a stupid way to decide a WC but what did that have to do with us? We both played under the same rules. I agreed that the rules should never have been but that couldn't be changed after the event.

It’s only because they a small club, ‘ I bet if it was Surrey, Hampshire etc etc they would have not got fined’
ECB just picking up them!

There were times they got criticised for it plenty, when it was actually happening, yet when they were eventually fined for it correctly, the thread posted when that happened was all about ECB picking on them and it would not happen to big club etc etc.

As I say the normal tiresome cliche bollocks.

Buttler earnt his way in as a batsman, he has been absolutely outstanding over the last year.

people have short memories like on here, not watch cricket this summer marra?

Pope 3, buttler 6, foakes 7 for me. I wholly agree with your point. He’s just so far ahead of Buttler and Bairstow as a keeper for me and that’s worth it’s weight in gold. Not saying the others are bad keepers, but foakes is another level altogether. Worth wickets each game - should have had Sharma for instance this game, which Jos wouldn’t have made.
