I read that the short data comes out tomorrow. That will confirm if the short squeeze is dead or not.

Someone posted an update showing the short interest to r/wsb and it was removed. Don't have access to a bloomberg terminal so can't confirm but @monkeytassle might be able to post a screengrab, if he can be arsed

I trade how much those move. But yes. That's part of it.

Swaps are an exchange of cash flow in simple terms. Fixed versus floating.
