Give owa man. This is how he plays. Every other player we have is a stroke player. Its a 5 day game. He just needs to cautiously accumulate and hes doing great.

Root has to be the best English batsman in my lifetime (at least the most complete), KP was quality but Root looks like he will do it for a longer period

I'm not a huge test follower, and I'm sure it shows. I'm starting to get the nitty gritty stuff given you've got Root doing what he's doing at the other end.

The reason you’ll get a lot disagreeing with you on that point is we’ve been pretty attacking for a few years, without players batting time
