Everton were Gash.

You must be disappointed you're not in the mix for the Title and both Cups, plus into the Champions league knockouts? You know, like you usually are? 🤔🤔🤔

Not even that. A decent manager/coach and a box to box centre mid and ASM fully fit and we would be mid table. We came 13th last season with Bruce and Joelinton as a lone striker all season
Which is a better achievement by Bruce than the previous manager who had Rondon and Perez at his disposal for a full season. Surely you must agree?

i reckon a new left back, striker and a central midfielder in the diame destroyer style and itd be top ten

saivet surely better than hendrick?
he scored v west ham didnt he then never seen again
I think we have a top 10 squad right now.
The major issue is Steve Bruce refusing to play those players to their strengths and opting for a defensive system. It stifles the quality.

He's proved the potentials by the second half v Villa and the game against Everton.
We may not be top quality but we're certainly capable of holding our own to fight for a top 10 place as long as players are used for purpose.

Even Jamal Lewis is starting to look the part.
The body language of the players has been off, as far as I'm concerned. Yeah, we might have had injuries but making excuses for basically trying to shut up shop, no matter what, has been soul destroying for me.

I wanted Bruce out after initially backing him.
If he reverts back to negative football, I'll want him gone again. As it stands...and if he carries on where he left of second half with Villa and the game v Everton, I'll have no qualms about him staying.

This season I seriously don't think we need any additions to what we have if we set out like we have.
Next season is another matter if we have a mindset to step up a level.
That's likely up to Ashley and whether the club is sold to a person that has those aspirations.

Ashley is a sustainer and has been ever since he fell out of love with the club. He's doing what most clubs do and that's play second fiddle to the so called elite clubs. Happy to be also ran like the other dozen clubs.

However, I want to see feel good football, win lose or draw. I saw it second half v Villa and saw it the entire game v Everton.
More of the same, regardless.

You lot man

I see the fuckers are still obsessed with Pickford.

The amount of group chats with ‘hilarious’ photoshops of Pickford.

It’s class! Always nice to beat your marras Everton but extra sweet now he is there too!

Youre definition of Class is different to mine like.

Hopefully you’ll all remember when you’re cheering him on during a penalty shoot out in the summer at the Euros.

Interesting.

I did find it funny they appeared to ape the system that Jones used at Luton.

They 'aped' the system you played second half against Leeds according to many Newcastle fans and reporters. If you suggest that's not true and still maintain you are not a Newcastle supporter

It's usually the case when Newcastle get a win. The other team was apparently abysmal.
That doesn't really matter.
What matters is the way we performed and it was a breath of fresh air compared to the last few months.

It's all about if's and but's.

I'm just happy I saw a performance that showed the players (if played correctly) can and do have the ability to step up a gear.
It seems to have took a new appointment to kick Bruce's aris....but, more of this attitude, please.

I was with some Evertonians last night (virtually) and they all said they didn't turn up, lacklustre performance. On swallow doesn't make a summer.
