Over the last 5 PL matches, Bruce's Newcastle are only 3 points behind the Champions Liverpool. When you put it that way, it seems harsh all the stick he is getting.

Had they managed being just 3 points behind Liverpool every 5 games last season they would have finished on 76 points and qualified for the Champions League in 3rd place.

Bruce in.....
 What is this post?

Can I ask. At what point in the last 70 odd years, have they been seen as being an elite club? The position they are in now is normal for them. How have they fallen? Surely they've consolidated their rightful place? Morons the lot of them.

Does every article that fanzine write have to mention the Keegan 90s team and all the superstars that played in it? They're permanently living in the past.

A sarcastic reference to the pointlessness of the "last 5 minutes possession" that TV companies seem to love? Thats how I read it
Ah, fair enough.
Highly doubtful. It would mean him admitting he wasn’t good enough in some way.
He looks a broken man. If he loses the next two (Everton and Palace) he might well walk. If he does, he'd get a scintilla of respect from me. Which I know would mean the world to him.

Why would he walk?
He's on a hiding to nothing here. Plus, have you seen him recently? He looks absolutely miserable. He walks and he's still got plenty of cash in the bank, he'll not be out of a job for long as one of the Championship clubs will sack their manager soon enough, and he'll be inundated with punditry offers.

If he walks he can blame the poor form on COVID, the mean and nasty twitter people, the press. If he stays and we go down, that won't wash.
