A tale of two halves there.

First half the stinkers looked like they'd set up for a defeat. Hendrick FFS

When I saw him in the starting 11, the impression is that Cushion Ffyass has turned to one of his last signings in despair cos the others have effectively seen through him and won't play for him anymore.

Cue the second half.

To my surprise and dismay, in the last half an hour, a game broke out and they had Leeds on the rack - which is actually what you need to do to them.

Why on earth it took 60 minutes to figure that out is a Brucie mystery as the game could easily have been beyond them by the time he brought on 'Le Poulet sans Tête'.

He's a strange player this French winger with his runs into the crowded areas and occasional brilliance tempered with hugely frustrating decision making.

Still he galvanised a pedestrian doon army and they could easily have nicked a point.

Let's hope the daft c*nt doesn't play him again this season 😁

I suppose it is by the fans of other teams who feel they're not entertained.
I honestly don't ask a lot from Newcastle. If they were non league I'd still be a fan and supporter...seriously, like you lot would be with your club.
All I ask for, is for an owner/manager to set out a team to have a go and attack when we can and basically give fans a bit of excitement.
Look at the second half yesterday, with Leeds. I enjoyed that and it sort of brightened me up a little bit because I saw fight back in the players and a bit of an attempt to play football..albeit against a poor (on the night) Leeds who still won.....but, the defeat isn't the issue, it's the manner of defeats and as daft as it sounds, this was easier because of the second half.
The first half was much the same as normal but maxi coming on altered it and looked like he wanted to have a go.

I predicted a daft 8-1 because I thought Leeds would hammer us. Ok, maybe not really 8-1 but....you know.

Anyway I'm mumbling on as usual.
GTF off a Sunderland platform and moan on your own. I would never stoop so low as to seek out a mag forum and complain about my team. Typical black and white, monkey hingin hower who will be regarded as a foreigner by the Mags north of the Tyne.

You do realise what the topic says, right?
Don't spend your life getting bitter over a poster who happens to support a different football team. This is my forum and you do not have to be a Sunderland fan only, to use it, otherwise the mods would see to it, don't you think?

Put me on ignore and you can get on with your life without the stress of having to deal with me. ;)

Lewis is absolutely shite, alongside Hendrick they had a canny summer transfer window.

Do you not reckon Lewis could be good with better coaching or in a team suited to his style of play?
I think Lewis is being ruined at Newcastle.
Klopp wanted him but Liverpool wouldn't go above £10m iirc as he was only back up. Was supposedly a done deal. Can't recall the name of the 2nd choice they signed. Somebody from Greece. Norwich wanted £20m but we settled on £15m.

I don't think Liverpool and their transfer comittee have got much wrong in the last few years. I'd say Lewis being wanted by them is probably a rubber stamp on the lad's ability/potential. Proper coaching and better around him would bring him on. Robertson for example a few years ago would never have been expected to be as good as he was. I think Lewis signing for us has killed his career. We won't sell for less than we paid and he won't be able to perform well enough to show his ability due to how we set up

Like Moyes they prefer to air brush us out
Think it was pat Nevin talking about moyes (who has been a friend of his since 12) last night "moyes is a great manager he did excellent at Preston, Everton..... Yeah the man United thing he was harshly treated"
Completely skipped us and his threatening to slap lasses out of it.

I get the Keegan one even if the other poster doesn't but not Robson. You don't get statues for turning someone from a mid table side to European qualifiers and there was a sizeable amount of your support wanted him out. Joe Harvey, Bobby Moncur, Shearer, Keegan even Sir John Hall would all be understandable but not the guy who did good things for Newcastle but phenomenal things for Ipswich IMO.
Honestly, I think the Robson statue was as much about commemorating a great man who had tragically passed, as it was commemorating his 'successes' as Newcastle manager. He was a great ambassador for the region, and a statue at St James' feels fitting for him.
the club didn’t even celebrate promotion back to the prem under Keane but now we would ask for a statue:lol:
No. Just like we don't have a statue for Hughton, or Benitez and nor would they get one.
Sadly I feel Bruce will leave tomorrow morning.
No chance of getting the sack until relegation goes from possible to probable. No chance of him walking, at all.
