Lampard will be Bruce's eventual replacement, I reckon.
They love a 'name'
I could see it, but thought they were against Ashley's 'London Mafia' etc?

I've always thought the whole Keegan thing was bizarre. I was just a kid in the 70s but he was undoubtedly an icon - for Liverpool! Not for nufc. Won nowt there, won loads for the scousers...
Ditto Bobby Robson winning stuff for Barca an Ipswich but getting a statue at St James for what? Qualifying for europe??it's farcical
Even the other night Jamie Redknapp insisting that no other manager could do anything different with the squad. I mean that’s just absolute nonsense. Things have turned a bit and I feel like he’s a dead man walking now. He will cling on because he will never now manage another premier league club I would guess.

They were probably against the funding of global terrorism and human rights atrocities until Staveley wafted Saudi oil money under their noses
I'm just amazed he hasn't spun 'the fans won't accept me because I managed Sunderland' crack yet, given how predictable the rest of his soundbites are.
It’ll happen. Plus his mates in the media have also been implying it. Neville implied it the other night, Kieron Dyer has mentioned it and heard Darren Bent on the radio saying it last week. It’s just lazy journalism. Really lazy. Does anyone think that lets just say a manager born in Sunderland won a trophy for Newcastle (or vice versa) that would somehow taint it for us? Nonsense. The blokes a fraud and is now being made to take on coaches he doesn’t want ffs. Embarrassing.
The Warehouse of Dreams, now that tickled me. Have a likeSeems like a lifetime ago we did them 2-1 at the Warehouse of Dreams and they sang about 'Fat Cockney Bastard get out of our club' for the entire match. They were top, it was weird.

He’s not a decent manager likeBruce is decent manager but he just doesn't seem able to get a team out of a rut, he visibly wilts on the touchline during games.
We never recovered from the last couple of transfer windows. Replaced genuine quality with relegation fodder. The thing is with Bruce hes very well thought of from inside the game, pals doing punditry etc and given how he seeks to deflect blame away from himself at any given opportunity he didn't actually get any real publicised criticism in his time here. Of course hes trying the same shit with you lot now.
A lot in the media would say he was sacked here because our fans hounded him out for being a Geordie, where in reality we had a very good squad and he underachieved given where we were at Christmas in his first two seasons, before a significant winless run in each season, the same as you're having now. Having dismantled a lot fo the quality in the side and replaced them with inferior players he then had a stinking start to the season, alarming given we usually had a new year slump.
We won't. I think he's lost a lot of he dressing room. I can see a mental score tonight. I think Leeds might eclipse the score they gave us at their place.
The body language on a lot of players says it all for me and I always try to see positives, even if they're weak one's.
I just can't see anything from all this, lately.
I'd love a miraculous turn around but I can't see it.
He joined when we were shit and he was still a very good footballer, he scored loads, got us promoted and connected with the fans. Then, as a manager, he joined us when we were shit, got us scoring loads playing great football, got us promoted, connected with the fans, took us from almost relegated to what is now League 1, to genuinely challenging for the top flight title. Plus his familial connection with the club. Of course Keegan is adored by Newcastle fans, it would be weird if he wasn't.I've always thought the whole Keegan thing was bizarre. Robson turned us from midtable mediocrity into a genuine title challenging side, playing some great football, with really exciting young players. Connected with the fans in a way not seen since Keegan. Plus his familial connection with the club.
If Henderson retires from playing, becomes your manager and lifts you back to the Premier League, without winning a single proper trophy, there'd be calls for him to get a statue and you're lying to yourself if you think that's not true.
