Absolutely desperate to be seen as one of the Elite even though they've been shite for the best part of 70 years. On the pitch aside, their fans are viewed by almost every other club's supporters as self entitled, deluded and like spoilt kids not getting their way and having a 24/7 tantrum session. There is no low they wont stoop ro trying to be talked about as a Big Club. I hope they get relegated and Mike closes the f***ing place down.
We’re viewed as self entitled by all other clubs fans? Funny, I thought no other clubs were interested in us.
You obviously are, you only post about us, never Sunderland.

Poor diddum! Bleating on about a failed takeover, wasting MPs, parliament & the PLs time.

Desperate to feel significant and deluded that people outside of this small corner of the world actually give a shite about them because they nearly won some almost 30 years ago, but blew it.

I destest the self entitled wankers when it come sto football because in the real world businesses are struggling, people face losing their jobs or worse their loved ones because of this awful pandemic.

So pleased I was brought up Sunlun because even if we drop another league, the ***** are showing everyone else what we already know about them... the lack of self awareness and dignity they are show is truly staggering.
This bit sums them up - "We have once again put a request into Deloitte, asking whether Newcastle United simply didn’t make the top 30 highest football club turnovers, or whether Mike Ashley has once again refused to supply the figures. We will of course let you know what Deloitte come back with."

The speed of pile on against Bruce is quite impressive, with the media quickly following suit. Yes they are going through a poor phase, but it's with the same players that got them 10+ points clear of the relegation zone earlier this season and a Covid outbreak to deal with. The catalyst was obviously the humiliation of losing to Sheff Utd, but dear me this is a relentless barrage. I'm no fan of Bruce, but he has got very little chance of being able to turn this around such us the swell against him.

In an age where we are supposedly more sensitive to mental health and anti-bullying, trial by social media and the rest of it, it seems that none of these rules apply to football managers and he may well get the sack long before he genuinely deserves it. Imagine if we faced a barrage of shit like this when we were going through a hard time in our own jobs...
It wasn't the Sheffield game, we'd been shite for months before that embarrassment. Hell, we were shite last season as well. Any other owner would have binned off Bruce a while ago, not just because of the piss poor performances on the pitch, but the pressure from fans and now the media has made his position untenable.

No other PL owner would have appointed him in the first place, but 10 games without a win, 1 goal in 8 games, 5 losses on the bounce is form genuinely deserving of the sack.

Thing is, the club haven't learned their lesson from the McClaren season. Bruce is safe unless Newcastle are in the bottom 3 for a couple of games. Even if we're 17th on goal difference going into the final 10 fixtures, he won't get the boot. We should have got rid of him after the Sheffield game, but if he goes after the loss tonight a new manager could get 12-15 points before the run in. If he stays, I can't see where we'll get another win, we're that bad.

Good post, Fish lad. I'm surprised you can find the motivation any more. Personally, I'm losing interest.

West Brom, March 6th.

You'll win tonight

West Brom, March 6th.
If it was Bilic's WBA, I'd maybe have some confidence. But Allardyce would love nothing more than to stick the boot in. There's no way he's losing that game.

You'll win tonight

Based on what? We can't defend, can't control the ball, don't make chances. Leeds are having a bad run, but even in that run they're creating chances. Also, at the very least they'll press and run all game, something we just cannot deal with. As shown in our last game against Leeds.
