The vaccine thread

A "German government source" is given as the source of the information.
Germans will have their own equivalents to Diane Abbott.

My guess, it'll turn out to be something like the Oxford vaccine is 8% less effective in the over 70s than in those under 70.
That's normal for a vaccine as immune systems in older people are less able to respond to vaccines.

The German Diane Abbott will have mis-interpreted this and said something confusing to a journalist who then has a guaranteed scoop as it was sourced by "the German government".

They couldn't if it has any credence and if true could see downfall of the government..
Needs to backed up properly this story with facts
I think you underestimate their ability to continually ignore what they are told by people who know and do what they want regardless.

This is serious, the amount of people believing rubbish posted on Twitter and on here. Think logically, what's more likely to be correct?

The scientific findings and the British Medical Association and Oxford University.

Or Germany with f all of the Oxford vaccine to even trial and it's only 8% effective because a German newspaper apparently says this.

If this is true it's far bigger than anything else and totally undermines the whole bma and the british medical professionals
I don't disagree, and really it's shocking that I would even consider for a second that the government would plough on regardless, but it wouldn't be the biggest surprise in the world, lets be honest.

A strong government shoots "nonsense" like this straight down unequivocally.
