If it comes to the NE it needs to not be in Newcastle. Newcastle already benefits from Cobalt, Silverlink and Longbenton.

There are loads of places in the NE that could benefit from this. Newcastle has more than its fair share and always has had.

I don’t know, but surely the planned L & G buildings on the vaux site would mean the office infrastructure is there......

There are places in the NE more deserving than Sunderland as well mind. If it goes end up in the NE it should probably go to North Tees.

I can't help but think this is more about lower wages outside London rather than genuine levelling up.
