Yeah thats really good that, sums it up well
Paine offers a grovelling apology today

Almost worse that for me

Tempers can flair on a cricket feel

Whats annoying is all this fake stuff they've done over the last few years, play the game the right way blah blah

just own it, more respect if he just said I was trying to get in his head and win the game for my country

This constant uncompromising Aussie hard man image has simply become tiresome.
They always feel the need to show that they play harder than anyone else and it’s all a load of bollocks.
They’re the worst losers in the world, but also the worst winners.
They simply lack class.

I still remember Stuart Broad's smirk when asked about them being caught cheating. He knew they'd been doing it for years, I'm sure of that.

Then there was the press conference prior to the start of the Ashes in 2019. When asked about how they'd deal with the atmosphere at Edgbaston, there was an arrogant dismissal of "I could name you 15 grounds off the top of my head that are far more intimidating." This was quickly changed to whining like fuck after the first day as the crowd got to them throughout it.

It's good for cricket that their mask has slipped in such a public way. If they continue to select Smith, he's fair game for all the abuse he would get.

I'd recommend Aussie journalist Geoff Lemon's excellent 'Steve Smith's Men' book which covers this in great detail.
Was South Africa the first time they cheated? Was it f*ck.

They've been at it since the days of Warwick Armstrong.

And here come the excuses

Wonderful quote in there...

"That is something he does every single game, five or six times per day. He likes to walk up to where he bats and visualise where he is going to play".

Erm, it was the fourth innings of the game Tim...

Tim clearly not aware of the adage"when you're in a hole, stop digging".

Tell you what’s interesting, cricket is still the type of sport where you have to seek out the latest news from the soecialist sections

But the Aussie cheating stuff is always in main news, in outlets that don’t normally cover cricket and by collumnists who don’t normally discuss it

Clearly touches a nerve with people as it’s everywhere

Was mentioned on my zoom meeting earlier by a colleague who doesn’t follow cricket massively unless something big is happening like the World Cup, Ashes or sandpapergate

Makes the game more interesting when they get caught as well , I wonder if he forgot about the camera 😂😂😂

So the right handed Smith was subconsciously putting his own guard in the exact same place where the left handed Pant has his?

A remarkable coincidence or the biggest load of bollocks of an excuse. Hmmmm, I wonder which.

To be fair, middle stump is middle stump no matter if you're left or right handed.
