Mountain Daisy

I could see it having a bit of a chance if it was similar to the isis, with the layout and features it’s got a head start. If they give it a lick of paint and sell competitively priced fostaz history will repeat itself.

Looking at the FB page, that looks like the direction they're taking sadly

Willow Pond-Boulevard-Annabels........and all points in between inc free gardeners, odd fellows, lands owned, cottage. I wadnt make it as far as The Museum Vaults these days.
Last time I was in the vaults (about 3 year ago) they still had an old PYE telly with the match on.

Good news - big pub with a lot of history. Bit like the Dun Cow and Isis. We need to keep these pubs - they're part of our history. Hylton Road (the ski run) used to be a great alternative to the town. Back in the day it was Steels, Willow Pond, Mountain Daisy, Jollies, Stone Bridge (is that right? Long gone now), Railway Tavern, Oddies, Museum Vaults.

You missed out the Free Gardeners, Teds, The Cottage and Sweaty Betty's (Landsdown).

Its got some lush rooms inside, I saw the article too, looks promising

Old pubs are in some great buildings, they just need restoring with original features

I was given a ‘tour’ of the upstairs rooms around fifteen years ago. Some original feature remain (or at least they did then), certainly some intricate tiling work around the cast iron fire places. Very grand building and a sense of history about the place.
