Sri Lanka are playing in the same test match as Australia v India, its some 3 game competition now?
I still think we’ll lose 4-0 or 5-0. Even with 5 batters they’ve got more runs in them than us (and yes I know Smith’s fallen right back).
Not sure I agree. I think our top 6 is coming on well. I think we struggle bowling in Aussie conditions however

Interesting day’s cricket in SA. SL clearly had a plan not to eat up deliveries, possibly because they thought it was the best way to go in those conditions as they’d have got one with their name on it eventually. But if it worked for them there I imagine they’ll back themselves to do it against us next month

Its always worth noting that English batsman play in the most difficult conditions for batting cosistently, if Joe Root played most of his cricket in NZ then he'd have an even higher average
I only bring it up as people always comparing averages of the top players, which isn't fair. Imagine what Kevin Pietersen would have averaged playing on those decks his whole career.

even in the last ashes over there, with no Stokes, we were in the games for large periods, (never going to win mind you), but not loads of collapses, but over 5 days still well beaten
Its encouraging to see Smith and his understudy look dodgy though

Not much happening in the NZ match, NZ heavy favourites from here with Pakistan without Babar. Will flick to Oz at half past, hope India bat well.
