Takeover News/Rumours - Part 42

Not sure why anyone believes what nixon is saying. When it comes down to what % share split there will be, only those directly involved will know

It's palpable what he's saying. It's possible they're just looking at a different share structure so that % is as it was but voting rights attached to certain classes of shares are higher.

I don't know whether all of that has to be solved pre EFL approval? Presumably if that is the case EFL approval can go ahead anyway as whether he has 40% ownership or 40% ownership with increased voting rights, he still requires approval? @Grumpy Old Man

If you're making up a rumour on here, just make sure that you include that it's greedy Stewart Donald who's at fault, and you're guaranteed to get a small group who'll believe it.

"Kids in Sunderland can't get a Playstation 5 because greedy Stewart Donald has bought them all from Argos and is trying to sell them for £1,000 each. I read it on here, it must be true "

Seriously, I think some people need to take a deep breath and log off. Wait for trusted sources to confirm what's going on.
That last sentence means not anyone on this thread !!

Not long till the usual kick in the knackers then

These wankers will never leave
Clearly Donald is desperate for a cash injection and that is why he was courting investment.

I wonder whether the EFL bail out money gives him some security he did not have a month ago and therefore is not needing to give up so much share?

His end game was always being in control and gaining promotion at which point he can probably sell the club for a profit.

Selling a large share now crystallises some losses now and reduces his gains in the future.

This. I would have thought KLD would need to pass EFL checks regardless of the size of his percentage - surely it makes sense to get this sorted as early as possible.

This, though I don't know if EFL checks are contextually based (ie. if someone is a bit of a shitbag there might be a mitigation that says 'well they hold a minority share in the deal therefore have restricted control over day-to-day operations etc.). I wouldn't have thought so.

How can you send something to be approved if you haven't confirmed the shareholding?

If it had been done, I'm 99.9% sure it would have been announced by the club. It makes zero sense for the club to not say anything.

If it’s with the EFL, then it can’t be announced.

After the Dell fiasco, I wouldn’t be shouting about it unttil it’s completely signed off.

Eh?

You said 'You dont know it isn't done', As i said, if it was done, there is literally no reason why the club wouldn't announce it.

I was under the impression this was with the efl and it just needs ratifying?
The longer this plays out the more chance it has of going tits up. The communication or lack of it from the club is very poor mind.
