as above. Celtic have organised a protest against the club/management with a strict agenda/instructions. Masks, covid stewards and social distancing.

good to see fans taking action when they aren’t happy.

He has to speak to SD he is still the owner, the current owners. Cant see the current owners suddenly deciding to go down the routebof totally restructuring the club, or providing substantial financial backing.
Is it def with tthe EFL, or is this just rumours

I wouldn't say rumour, it was reported in The Athletic with their latest piece on the club - I think it was posted yesterday.

Danny Collins has just mentioned a takeover/investment while talking to Speakman in the latest podcast...it wasn't discussed

Am I the only one that thinks this isn't happening?
The takeover rumour by FFP had me convinced but slowly as it dragged on I began to doubt, this one is following the same route, it should have happened by now if it ever was going to.
No i have never thought we were getting taken over. Fans need to wake up, the fact we have just appointed a DOF and manager witnout a takeover announcement tell you all you need to know.

So he has to speak to the current owner because well he is the owner. Ignoring that Sartori is also a current owner but you still think it's the prospective owners making the decisions? The current owners might have decided to change the structure if the financial risk is spread a bit more, who knows.

Not ignoring anything, he said in his interview he will be speaking to the other people in the ownership group whoever that maybe

I meant I was ignoring it.
Will be but hasn't, so he talked to the one who is going to be silent and have no say over anything? Seems unlikely to me but its possible.

Donald has been fairly consistent for 2 years stating they need extra investment. A full takeover has never been inferred from the present owners - not sure where that came from?

The press reports from last month, and Nick Barnes. At some point when all of the leaks and sources begin to align, it's hard not to think there's a bit of substance to them.

Not counting the full takeover talks with Campbell or FPP here is an official statement made by the club in Jan.

"Given these circumstances, and Stewart Donald’s sincere commitment on his arrival at Sunderland AFC that “I won’t outstay my welcome”, the Board feels that it has no option but to sell the club. That process has now commenced. Owing to confidentiality agreements, there will be no further updates until a preferred bidder is identified"

That doesn't suggest they want to get investment and crack on.

Yeh, fair enough. I don’t understand the vacuum of information from the club, however. I understand the period of exclusivity but some sort of affirmation that a takeover is developing does not harm?
