Exactly I was shot down when the chancers first took over because I questioned how it was that they came to be the owners when it was obvious that they didn’t have the financial clout to be able to run a club the size of ours, too many people were taken in by changing the seats and statements such as the piss taking party stops here, roll on to January of that season and we then had the Maja debacle, monumental mistake not to keep him til the end of that season whatever the cost we would have been promoted, look at us now the heart and soul has been ripped out of our club and it’s beyond scandalous.

Think many like to give the benefit of the doubt ... I met Martin Smith the night of the wolves game where they effectively were the new owners ... he pretty much said that these guys weren't all they were cracked up to be and the other consortia trying to by us didn't get a fair crack. I was pissed at the time ... and on truth thought it might be disappointment for his mates who failed. But I do wonder what he really meant about unfair practices

Sounds as though the Cowleys have made it pretty clear that they won't accept a job unless they have total control over transfers. If that is the case then there's either no takeover at all or a new regime will have already abandoned the idea of having a Sporting Director before they've even started.

We already know what a bunch of jokers the current bunch are but if the new regime are having input into this then the cack-handed way it's been handled inspires little confidence that our fortunes will improve anytime soon.

We may never know the rights and wrongs of how it came to be but it never sat right with me from day one.

I had seen that but do you not think, to have the opportunity to manage a club of Sunderland’s size, they might compromise a little and agree to work under certain constraints with the right person?

It’s a third option for you to consider anyway.

That would certainly be concerning. However, I haven’t see any suggestion that they’ve asked for that level of control. Seems like Chinese whispers from here tbh.

If thats the case about cowley then it seems like they must have gone back on the sporting director aye. f***ing hell sounds very amateur

They said it pretty clearly in the first press conference when announced at Huddersfield. Along with the rumours on why they left it seems they probably wouldn't be keen.

They are parasites sucking the life out of the club and supporters. One of whom accused supporters of kidnapping his daughter. The other so called PR expert insulted the supporters.
