You would think the "takeover" would be announced before the manager
Has all the hallmarks of a pr genius ...sacking a 25 year plus loyal servant then announcing a pe teacher as club manager ... Some of Charlie's best work .chemical Ali has nowt on him....... I'm hoping for the best with this takeover but the runes are pointing towards uninspiring locusts!

@Grumpy Old Man regarding the wage cap....am I right in thinking that transfer fees dont come into it, say we do get a 25 yr old Premier league player to come on loan and his wages are £30,000 week. We loan for a year and negotiate with the loaning club that we will pay his 1 year wages (£1.56 mill) in a loan fee, but his wages are really on their books....could that work?

That would not be allowed. Anything that ends up on a PAYE wage slip and subject to tax is included. If the loan fee goes to the player or the agent it is wages.

Im saying the loan fee is purely between the 2 clubs, the players weekly/monthly salary is nowhere near it?

Purely on the loaning clubs books

OK I will allow Grumpy to answer but intuitively I doubt any obvious attempt to circumvent the rules is permissible.

Rules are there for the protection and preservation of all.

Yes.

Loan fees paid aren't included in the cap, as the loaning club is paying the wages.
