Takeover News/Rumours

As some seem to believe the FPP money is still going to be in place once the Takeover goes through....with MSD investing in Derby prior to their takeover, does anybody know if they are still going to be involved post takeover once the Saudis take control?

None of the loans to us, Derby or Southampton look like ownership pathways on their own, as contrary to my assumption when they were first made, they don't have an agreed option to do so. They all follow the same basic premise, that FPP/MSD loan money to people and if they don't make the payments, they have the option to take the football clubs. That's really it.

I think it's important to remember that any future financing that any club uses to replace those deals would come with the same terms. Nobody is lending Derby substantial money without wanting the club as security. Ditto us. That makes me inclined to think that it would be easier for all of these takeovers to just keep them in place, unless they want to start with an absolutely clean slate.

I always wonder what this is based on with regards to Schwarz. What’s his qualifications for the position?

I’m not being argumentative, would love to see some people with affiliation to the club back.
Has his coaching badges. Worked with the Swedish FA. Was a coach with the national team and U21s. Has worked with Benfica's youth department as a scout and recruitment. Also works as an agent with the club.

I don’t get why the ITKs couldn’t just come out and say Nixon was right then? He called it in August
Bet that Magnus fella is raging. He obviously took the "friends in South of france" comment to mean Sartori's father in law and set out this mad dream team including him and furhman.

I wonder if he's still going across on n606.

These are all commercial loans. MSD are acting more like a merchant bank. Football clubs usually pay higher interest rates, because they have lousy credit ratings.

The FPP loan will stay in place until it's paid off - that's how loans work.

presuming Madrox as an vehicle will disappear with a new Co formed ?

No. K L-D will simply buy some of Donald's shares in Madrox. Anything else is ridiculously complicated. What I wouldn't be surprised to see would be Sartori moving his shares from Avesa Corp into a newco (probably somewhere like Luxembourg) co-owned by him and Louis-Dreyfus, giving them jointly 80%.

There's a bit more than that. He is on record saying he wants to come back some day.

That's fine mate, but the poster I was replying to was alluding to what skills he has to assume a Director Football role, as far as I'm aware he doesn't have the experience. So apart from being a footballer here and the fans and playing having a sentimental connection, it really doesn't go beyond that.

Latter obviously. As in someone already known to us.

Find it funny that the same sad person has been liking posts questioning anything.

Melt.

To be fair I can understand why people would question it, if someone said a local face I'd assume someone that was local to Sunderland and or the Norh East, I certainly wouldn't think Sartori considering he's never here, he resides in Uruguay and has invested little or nothing in the club (including time spent over here).

Sounds better than I expected in that case, how's Benfica's receuitment been under his watch. Is he still there?

I just did a search to see what he's up to. He doesn't appear to be coaching.
