You'd like to think so but the time for this was a couple of months ago when it became evident that nothing was going to change before the season started. Sadly the impression I get is they are content to wait before doing anything. This in my view as i've constantly stated risks the very future of our club. The statement following the cancelled meeting was not nearly strong enough and gave no timescales for follow up from RAWA thus giving the club a free hand to continue to kick the can down the road. Perhaps they were burned by the joint statement last December but our club is literally dying before our eyes. We need something to be done irrespecitve or whether a takeover happens. We can still make views public if a takeover is going through. May actually assist new owners to get out viewpoint.

As much as I dislike how Donald has ran our club, this is f***ing stupid btw and shouldn't be encouraged by any of us.

I don't mind the verbals, they deserve them, but anything that crosses that line towards physical threats or intimidation - or is inferred might cross that line - paints us in a bad light.

Think about the stuff he made up about our fans in the summer, why give credence to the idea that anyone would go so far as to cross the line?

I doubt there are many, if any, who would be so stupid as to do so if they were in a position to do so tbh.

Whether that was all bluff and bluster, whether he wasn't competent enough to implement it or whether he was hamstrung in his vision by being the minority shareholder and not that involved in the football side of things (lots of rumours that he and Donald didn't see eye to eye on things) I don't know.

But his delivery, manner and attitude towards the fans was appalling. If he is brought on board by KLD then I won't be out protesting for his instant dismissal but I'll have to think long and hard about whether I'd give him the benefit of the doubt and a second chance. I'm pretty sure I'll never like the bloke though.

Pretty open secret that one. He was scathing on Donald's inability to focus on detail. Said all he was interested in was doing deals, not making things work.

There are three boards to consider:

Madrox Ltd: Donald, Methven, Sartori, Dragon PR Ltd, SJD Leisure Holdings Ltd

Sunderland Ltd: Donald, Fox, Lowes, Sartori

SAFC Ltd: Donald, Fox, Rodwell, Lowes, Jones, Sloanes

Exactly, can’t help but think that skin is getting thinner around Wearside. You saw what Methven was from the moment he rolled into town. I’ve been livid with some of decisions made on his watch, undoubtedly made through trying to get us up on the cheap, which has failed miserably. These words that people get so vexed about though. You know what, we do have short patience with owners up here, Bob Murray was given dogs abuse. We’re all sick of living off past glories. We need links in to sources of wealth that simply aren’t locally available though. If Methven continues to ensure we’re circulated around wealthy circles then to be honest I couldn’t give a flying f if he’s called us some nasty words during some heated exchanges at talk ins.

I’ve neither made nor heard any suggestion of physical abuse so I’ve no idea how you have arrived at that conclusion, nor am I or would I give credence to anything remotely like it. I suggest you read the post again before making any veiled accusations.

Spot on mate, Thing is hes said some things...maybe his phrasing and wording is wrong which everyone wet their knickers at but there is a truth there! We can be criticised.....some people need to grow some thicker skin without a doubt...

If that is the way your mind works then that is a matter for yourself it bears no resemblance to what I’ve posted. I’m not nor have i any reason to pretend anything. You’ve taken what I posted and attempted to twist it into something it isn’t. Just to be absolutely clear. Would the supporters I’ve spoken to give him a lug full if they had the opportunity? Almost certainly. Would they resort to physical violence? Absolutely not. If it wasn’t clear enough in my first post then I hope it is now.

He's a subtle as a flying mallet, but you get what you see. But there are some desperately thin skins, others reacting because of his background, and, in some cases, a tendency to inverted snobbery.

That’s fair enough but there is a growing narrative that Methven wasn’t a key mover or that Donald has been the problem . Apologies if I grouped your comment with that . But we all have to question the new narrative because it’s genesis is obvious
