If I had to guess, they've got the Sporting Director decided in. For the avoidance of doubt, this is pure guesswork - I've not hears anything. But if they had a shortlist last weekend, the timing would be about right.
Good shout, I suppose. Which will hopefully lead to our other wish that Parkinson gets the bullet. I just wish we would hear something concrete soon enough. The current structure is killing the club

I have no idea mate but that would be good news. It’s definitely further along than last Friday too.
I hope so mate, we all need a huge lift

If the new owners want the fans onside immediately all they need to do is sack him

Just like last time, this thread should be locked. Fans who are desperate latching on to any news and people taking advantage who want attention.

Think shares side will be set and nothing will change there so won't be anything to do with SD or CM to get excited about.

They would have been head hunting for weeks now. DOF and manager as they will want a clean slate. Most new owners do.

Spot on, I presume there are others?
We’ve hardly ever cashed in on players when at the peak of their value . I always look back at Phillips. If we’d sold him after his 30 goal season , we could’ve potentially bought Keane & Gudjohnson and still had change .

God I hope it goes through, don't fancy watching on in January as PP spunks the 7 quid odd war chest SD gives him.

I don't think we'll do much in January regardless like, mainly due to salary cap and squad size. Maybe could be more ambitious going for younger players if the new ownership comes in, like that Argie we lost out on to Houston.

Well we could have tried to yes. From memory though both of the lads you mention turned us down despite us agreeing a fee with their clubs.
It would have been better to have got one of them to play alongside Phillips.

That’s a good shout. High quality U23s is the quick way around the salary cap. There are other immediate things they can do as well.

1. Quality U23s as you say.
2. Pay up the contracts of Grigg, O’Brien, Graham, Dobson, McGlouchlin.
3. Appoint a market leading data analytics firm to identify recruitment.
4. Pay up PP contract and replace.
5. Appoint high quality football/business people to senior positions throughout the club.

Hopefully they bring in a good recruitment team and they bring in some good young players

Just passing on what I’ve been told. Not desperate it’s just informative

@Upthere is not one for spreading rubbish.

I just hope this latest snippet is a step further on the road to a new future.

Not that it’s linked in any way to @Upthere’s post but on another thread today it was mentioned that Poyet was interviewed by R5 this morning and said “I’m watching all leagues and I’m ready to step in where the opportunity arises” ....
