I sold my 3 year old iPhone X on eBay last week. It was near mint condition other than a small chip which I showed on the listing. Sent it recorded 1st class. The lass who bought it had it 4 days and then started messaging saying the screen wasnt responding and she wants a refund. I struggle to believe it worked faultlessly for me then 4 days after selling it breaks so it seems something fishy is going on to me.
I’ve never had an issue like this. eBay say I have to accept the return and my PayPal is now showing -£350 as a balance.
The cynic in me thinks she’s either broke it or swapped the screen and is trying to scam me. It looks like she holds all the cards.
Anyone had a similar experience with any advice what to do next? Or am I basically stuck with a worthless knackered phone now?
