Anyone wanting PP sacked for someone who will play decent attacking football should have a good hard look at our squad. Yes we have promising youngster but I don't think we can rely on them to play the rest of the season without picking up injuries or s drop in form.
Do people really think a new manager will turn Dobson into De Bruyne?
I would stick with the manager as long as we are averaging 2 points a game
Hopefully turn him in to a large pot of jam he'd be useful then

what is the 24 game period in relation to? Is it just cherry picked to start after his horrific run when first arriving?
So say we sack him who will do better with this squad that would realistically come? Or is it a case of anyone/not my job to decide?

It depends what criteria though. Our points return over the last 24 games and our points return this season per game played will get promotion. Continue what we are doing, continue to get the same points return we have for the entire calendar year and we can forget about anyone else. we will go up.

it doesn’t work like that though. If we continue to perform as we are, with such fine margins, the luck won’t hold. If you look at anything beyond numbers you can see this is a poor team and cracks are starting to spread.

let’s revisit this in a few weeks, I have a feeling I know where we will be. “On track for promotion if we win games in hand and others slip up”. Same as the past two seasons.

impossible to say because I don’t know what we can/would offer in terms of payment to attract someone.

are you suggesting there are no managers better than Parky who would come here and he’s doing the absolute best anyone could with these players?

Someone prepared to blood youngsters immediately would do for me.
Difficult to argue with that as I think it's a major flaw of PP not giving the kids a chance I think Embleton and Diamond would scare teams coming on for the last 20 minutes in a game which for me is the way to blood kids properly.
But I still think the starting 11 with Leadbitter and Scowen in the centre of the park is probably the best way to start games

Exactly we have a squad that suits PPs style of play a new manager won't change that.

And am thinking blackcurrant jam

I’d argue Grigg and O’Brian do not suit this style at all and we could get more goals out of this squad playing different football.

fair enough parkinson might get us up i see the argument of keeping him on , but does anyone believe he could take us forward in the championship even if we have a decent budget hoof ball won't work in that league

We are still a massive draw to any manager from mid Prem down over. IMO
But they will have nowt to work with at present so most would probably turn it down

I'm suggesting it's easy to say sack the manager but it's harder to say who would come and be better.
Was there not rumours at least 2 managers turned us down before PP was appointed. And I know the dickhead owners said he was out 1st choice but they were never going to say anything different no matter who was appointed. They aren't idiotic enough to say here is Phil out 4th choice but no one else would come.
We are a club in League 1 with a history of sacking managers after about a year to 18 months with ownership issues and no money to spend not exactly an attractive proposition for a manager

requires you to completely ignore the way we have been playing, our defence getting worse/attack not improving, how fortunate we have been with refereeing decisions and the general tendency of Parky to blow it when it counts.

has last season taught you nothing? People are clinging to stats alone when all the signs will tell you what you need to know if you can bare to look at them.
I do not recall the stats ever being as good last season, perhaps I am wrong.

I don't think we have been as fortunate with refereeing decisions as some make out. We have had penalties and red cards against us. Several in fact. Ipswich and gillingham the big calls were right. You can't keep putting these things down to luck.

I see where you are coming from I do. The football is not a great spectacle.

At the end of the day, the only statistic that matters is points and we are doing well on that front. Whether it is lucky, or crap to watch is irrelevant until the points per game level drops. Irrelevant.
