I wouldn't hold a meeting in the middle of takeover negotiations to get asked a load of questions about it, by people who don't need and have no right, to know about the deal either. Especially as they can't answer some of them because of the deal.Sorry mate, I'm not buying what they're selling.
These sellers have been involved for 17 weeks, or so it is claimed, and just now they want to cancel a meeting that in no way draws light onto them. They could easily nix any questiosn re: the takeover and still allow the meeting to go ahead no problem.
There is the slim chance something significant has happend and it has reached the stage whereby it's close to completion, but it's far more likely that it hasn't. This ownership group has a history of misinformation. I'm far more inclined, for that reason, to believe they are using the illusion of a 'near complete takeover' to dodge a series of awkward questions after back-to-back defeats and general fan unrest. They've shown themselves time and again to have thin skin when it comes to criticism, that's why Charlie was quietly shuffled off.
I'd also wager they have no good answer to most of said questions, and hearing that would only stir the pot more. I'll scarf down humble pie if I'm wrong, but this feels like a ploy.

If its a close as rumoured there would be no point at all the current regime answering any questions. They might not be here in a fortnight
I wouldn't leave it to the day before before cancelling though...I wouldn't hold a meeting in the middle of takeover negotiations to get asked a load of questions about it, by people who don't need and have no right, to know about the deal either. I don't think anyone should get excited about Charlie Methven leaving. There’s nothing that I’ve seen suggesting it’s anything other than someone/people buying Donald out. No mention of Sartori or Methven going yet..
Donald & Methven remaining in any capacity would be horrendous.
or they was hoping whatever was holding up the deal could be sorted before the meeting so don't have to cancel it, if they cancelled the meeting on Monday it would be the same result with fans asking what's going onI wouldn't leave it to the day before before cancelling though...
This would be dreadful...and would undermine the integrity of and change and immediately seed doubt amongst an already antagonised and skeptical fanbase surely any investor worth a damn must know how utterly useless these people are and the long running shitshow they've ringmastered.Donald & Methven remaining in any capacity would be horrendous.

Or deal has hit a last minute hitch - speculation can be of all kinds but it's just that.or they was hoping whatever was holding up the deal could be sorted before the meeting so don't have to cancel it, if they cancelled the meeting on Monday it would be the same result with fans asking what's going on
Especially if the new lot are minted. Even a small holding would see them make a few quidIt’ll happen. That has been the aim from the start for them. SD sees SAFC as a little nest egg for 10 years time.
