Takeover News/Rumours

Essentially from one of two sources: FPP's loan, or from Madrox to service the money they have said they will pay back.

Altogether, my estimate is that the losses are in the £4m range, or £350k a month. Bad? Yeah, but nowhere near a problem for Madrox. They most likely use part of the FPP money loaned to pay it, ie: kick the can down the road and pay that back when it's owed, or they fork out for the money they (used to) owe the club and said they'd pay back. I'd class the latter as less likely because if I were in their situation, I'd work specifically using the money from FPP and leave my own ambiguous debt back into SAFC as something negotiable in a sale.

So that's why I don't think we're going bust in the near future.

You are probably right, if the FFP loan is still intact, but the man said, "What if we do go up and no one wants to buy us: lol:, he's stuck with a club he can't afford to run." Which is something different altogether.

Yeah fair - Part of the problem is that how we should be run and how we could be run are two different things.

We could bottom feed in the Championship for some time without losing money, especially when you consider that a number of teams towards the bottom of the league don't spend any money. It'd be a risk, but there are always options and he'd have an extra £7-10m in revenue to play with.

I know you have an awful lot to say about the takeover and before I stopped reading your posts I gathered that you are in a business where you would know a lot more about it than me or the average Joe, you made that obvious.
You also alluded to the fact that your good lady knows more than you.
Some Lady.
I might have missed it cos tbh I don’t read your posts and haven’t for a very long time. Do you support S.A.F.C. ?
It’s a simple question and you don’t need to give war and peace to answer.
If your answer is a No. Why are you posting on here ?

So after weeks of uncertainty from Nick Barnes original post, Rodwell tells us we are in a period of exclusivity.

Then all of a sudden its off/on a take over a change of share value..etc

I remain hopeful that SD and CM wiill be soon be gone. But if it is not happen and whatever the deal is is off, Rodwell needs to let the fan base know.

Another 200 quid this month for the season tickets. We deserve some clarity

We do. One of the most specious narratives that the club are trying to use is that their and the buyer's silence is an indicator of professionalism.

No, primarily, after over 3 months of discussions, it is an indicator that there is something to hide about this deal.

Whether it's that it's closer to falling over than it is being sealed, or that the new owners are underwhelming, something is very wrong if in THREE MONTHS they can't get to the stage where everyone is comfortable with us as fans knowing who our new owner will be - particularly given how critical our financial support clearly is.

Agree. This has dragged on for so long now. Generally in this time snippets about the deal would be released and definitely the possible "new owners" would have made its way into the public arena by ITKs.

This is the best kept secret since the one about me and my Aunties knicker drawer.

Oops.
