If Digne & Richarlison lack the self discipline & awareness to stay on a football pitch when things not going well or the manager cant provide it for them the problem lies squarely at Goodison. You just never know with us. Second half last week we looked pretty decent albeit against a poor Everton side. I agree if we keep it 0-0 or 1-0 to them we do have a habit of digging in. Just realised it’s FA Cup first round this weekend!

What a nothing article that was, basically highlighting the fickle nature of the sporting press. I don’t know how they can whinge though, they’ve never been off Sky Sports regardless of the piss poor football they’re producing.

Tbh, the north east in general gets awful coverage from the main stream sporting press.
We were spoiled for a time really 15-20 years ago. All 3 north east teams were pretty much fixtures in the top division, and since then all of our fortunes have changed in different ways. I’m not one of those people that wants us all to do well at all, but it would be nice to have a closer away trip, and to get some more northern teams in the top division!
