The comments on this. A few of them admitting they've never been the "great club" the 1992ers think they are

I reckon we'll win 3-0, have the majority of the ball and have Everton on the ropes for most of the game. Bruce says defensively against wolves that was more like it, now we've gotta start being a threat up the other end. So I reckon we'll be tight defensively, control the midfield and our front four will run riot.

that plonker you have in goal will save everything. He’ll be able to concentrate on the game instead of acting like the class clown to the home fans.

I think he's still a risk, he's erratic and gets too carried away even without fans.
Don't see us causing him too many problems though

ASM is the only half decent player we have and even he goes missing when he can't be arsed. Lascelles being injured is a spot of luck for us tbh

Pleased you said "half decent" because most of your fans believe he is some footballing god.

Hes a semi-decent player, pleases the crowd with fancy footwork, but hes a big fish in a very small pond. You'll sell him for silly money and never hear his name again when he is found out. Another Cabaye, Cisse, Ba or Sissoko in my book. I would have added Caroll but obviously he came back

I mean, Sissoko got to a champions league final playing for Spurs Ba won things at Chelsea didnt he ? and Cabaye went to PSG to play with Cavani etc Most players would take that but I get your point.

Cabaye 39 apps 1 goal - went to Palace
Cisse 34 apps for Shendong Luneng
Sisoko 120apps for Spurs (3 goals) (fair point)
Ba 33 apps for Chelsea... went to Turkey

But if you had listened to Newcastle fans at the time they were all going to be superstars. "World Class" no doubt

Newcastle are very good at building up mediocre players because they stand out in consistently poor teams. Mike sells them on at a huge profit and they fizzle out when other clubs realise it.

St. Maximan is just another in the line
