Probably just prep but wanted to share some good news amongst all the fear mongering shite that is constantly spouted by the media.

Just did a quick calculation, if every one of the 343 councils had a site capable of 1000 inoculations a day it would take 6 months to cover the whole population.

What if they had 3 sites capable of doing 2000. What if the massive councils had 20 sites capable of doing 10,000 a day.

There is no need to vaccinate the whole population. In order to remove the necessity for current restrictions it'd only need to be around a quarter of that.

To be fair, even with our potential stockpiles, I can't see most of the country getting a vaccine for a long time. It'll be key workers and those most likely to develop complications who are going to get it.

At first. Enough leaks have already been dropped about this. Health Workers(inc. care homes) plus the vulnerable, then age descending from 85+ down to 50.

I’m pretty sure most nhs workers will get it done at work therefore relieving the vaccine sites. Like they do the flu jab.

Once the elderly, vulnerable and care home / emergency services staff have had the vaccine I'd reckon pre-Covid normality wouldn't be far off.

Aye, as everything is digital these days I wouldn't think adding a vaccination note to someone's passport would be too difficult? Biometric or something now isn't it?

Plenty of countries already have vaccination requirements for entry. I would suspect many countries will want to keep COVID out, so when a vaccine is routinely available, it would make sense.

I certainly hope the govt take strong measures to exclude anti-vax people from society.
