Takeover News/Rumours

It's very true that the takeover could fall to pieces yet again. But I can't see what benefit there is from a) making it up completely and b) stringing it all along unnecessarily, as that I presume cost money in lawyers etc.

How long ago was that though?

About 3 months ago mate. SD has lost all credibility, I don't think it's unreasonable to be sceptical about anything he or his bidders do or say.

If it’s a £35m deal that means Donald would need to put the amounts owed or else the value wouldn’t be £35. I’m sure FPP will also be due their cash back. This would be a condition precedent on the deal happening I presume.
The odd thing in my mind is that Donald doesn’t seem to have the cash to do either. As such it must be structured that proceeds are used to fund these flows - meaning it would need to be a large majority sale and he isn’t left with a lot (but I’m guessing whatever he is left with will be profit). This small amount remaining is likely very vulnerable to any change in total enterprise value - which is why it isn’t moving fast at all.
All guesswork.

If it isnt fpp then why should he add the £9 million loan he took out which he “didnt need” to the asking price?

Its ridiculous tbh

I’m not saying add to the asking price. I’m saying he will (I presume) need to use proceeds to pay it off.
Yer i no that mate. He is adding it to the price, its ridiculous

He was the one who took out a loan he said he didnt need so why should a new owner have to pat it back

It matters if Madrox sells the shares in Sunderland, because they'll have to repay it. If Donald personally sells some or all of his stake in Madrox, then it shouldn't need to be included. However, what I suspect is meant by a £35m deal is one that sees some shares changing hands for a price which values 100% of Sunderland at £35m, not Donald /Madrox getting that amount.
