Decision time for counties regarding kolpack and overseas players

Looks like most counties have got decisions to make with regards to a number of overseas players playing as domestic cricketers on a variety of visas and passports.
It appears that the players either have to be registered as an official overseas player or find another loophole to play next season. No surprise Essex have already registered Harmer as one of their official overseas players.
Other players who are in a similar position are Amla and Morkel at Surrey also Kuhn at Kent and quite a few others.
As far as Durham are concerned we have Behardian in the same position so if we are to keep him he maybe an official overseas player next season.
Delport not sure if it's the Essex one or Leicestershire is appealing the ruling so it maybe no decision made until that is sorted.

Yes but isn't it far more difficult to obtain a working visa as an overseas player ?

To be honest I haven't got a clue especially what are the exact implications of Brexit. I just went onto the BBC county cricket section and checked the club's ins and outs and virtually every county has players it needs to make a decision on.
Essex have acted very quickly to secure the services of Harmer as an official overseas where as Sussex have released Wiese but may take him on for T20.

Eligibility through an ancestral visa has been removed alongside Kolpak eligibility. Dickson is still eligible through his mother who is British born (Beckenham).

Hope he kicks on and is worth the 'slot', although not too much as if he's overseas and not kolpack he becomes available for the Saffers again.

Dickson signing makes a little more sense if he is a domestic.

I'm sure there will be an option for some Kolpaks to apply via the EU Settlement Scheme for Settled or Pre-Settled status, which may result in them being classed as a UK citizen? I'm currently managing a project at work to support our current workers who are non-EU born but living and working here on EU member passports which is exactly what some Kolpaks do so I would expect similar outcomes.

Settled is usually for those with 5 years living and working in the UK and anything under is likely to be considered Pre-Settled and therefore I'm not sure the implications from a Kolpak point of view.

Those without EU passports would be in a bit of limbo I imagine as most will have been taking advantage of the EU Association Agreement.
