The bluebell are claiming the guidelines came from the council

Yup. Pub I was on about, who were saying mixing households is against the law mentioned them being wrong.
So after last weekends FB copy n paste debacle, the council, rather than sanctioning pubs, have given in and allowed it.

So tomorrow, rather than stand in the pissing rain outside my parents garden gate, I just take them to the pub aye
Ffs man

The opposite according to a local I was in earlier. Saying mixing households is now definitely not allowed.

not confirming that all :) but im bot going to grass the pubs up

Just a bit weird how 6 I know have now have statuses saying its happening
Aye, that's what I was meaning. If they've been told that, fair enough.
If they haven't, but claim they've been given the ok.....

The owner of a pub I was in was certain it's not okay, and said those allowing it would get fucked over.
I could name quite a few local pubs that have the same message going out, its confusing

Right. Reading the guidelines there. It's pretty clear. It's still not law to prevent six households mixing in a pub.
But basically saying if pubs have six households mixing all owa the place, they want it reporting.

yep clear as mud, report pubs for doing something that isnt law

If the only reason Co. Durham and Northumberland were locked down was to stop people from Newcastle/Sunderland/Gateshead/South Tyneside going across the border to meet up in pubs, but people are allowed to meet up in pubs in those areas anyway... it begs the question why are Co. Durham and Northumberland locked down?

High Crown had it sorted well to be fair when I was in in July. Are people sticking to the face masks on rule unless seated? Do pubs seem to be enforcing things a bit more now compared to August?
The rule on masks when seated only comes in from this morning doesn't it.....or last night?

Actually, just noticed that one aforementioned pub who's says its ok to mix screenshotted the advice they say they received from council and it mentions that its only allowed if each person has the app running!!
Interesting

Aye was in 6 different bars yesterday down chester and they all made you wear a mask when walking in but none were arsed about households mixing.

I suppose once you’re through the door, why would they care? $$$$ I guess the police have better things to than tour pubs asking tables if they’re part of the same family... back to great British common sense...
