This. I mean, I support the general premise of BLM (like every fairly normal person I think there's institutionalised racism and I think it's wrong). I do think the knee thing seems a bit for show, and it's gone on for ages, but if it keeps raising awareness of the issue then fair enough. It certainly doesn't annoy me one way or the other! The idea that I'd stop watching football because some people are doing it is pathetic. I hope the powers that be follow it up with meaningful actions mind

It’s like when racists used to fume about ‘new mosques being built’ (they never were) because of ‘parking issues’.

Even racists are ashamed of their own racism to the point where they have to mask it from themselves as well as others.

I don’t doubt there have been donations. But let’s never pretend that there aren’t two distinct things

- some whack jobs who want to do extreme things
- most people who want to see racial equality

it’s a bit depressing that we conflate the two
