Serves absolutely no purpose, anti racists agree with it so it doesn't win them over. Racists hate it and probably makes them even more racist. So I really don't see what the benefit is.
 
Would never happen if spectators were allowed in the ground. I’d be interested to see if clubs continue with it if/when fans are allowed back in

I definitely think they'll keep doing it. Problem is it seems to be a vague anti-racist thing, without a real goal, so I don't see how it ends. It's no bother like, it'll just become a part of the game, like sponsors on shirts or clapping during a designated minute in sympathy for a tragedy.
