The new owners (in waiting) will have consented to that deal. SD wouldn't. Why would he if he's more or less out of the club.

Reasons to be cheerful! I say. Little clues here and there.

I get your point but I disagree. If they've done due diligence and looked into all aspects of the finances then surely they'll know that the food and drink inside the ground is not making much money due to it's quality, therefore, why commit to another 5 years with the same company?

Mad to take it as a sign of anything being off or on. SD will have signed it, you're jumping the gun to suggest it's anyone else's decision. It will go into the Due diligence if anyone is doing it, but it's not an indicator either way. It's a normal business decision for a business that operates bars on it's premises.

800 pages of nothing, MODS need to just lock this thread until there is something concrete from the club
You should not come in here expecting news. Gossip, rage, hope, frustration, bed wetting, wrist slitting, short term bursts of optimism, made up shite by attention seeking bairns, tinfoil hat theories etc yes, this is your first port of call.
facts, well then SAFC or the BBC or the Echo.

Why's everyone believing this Chris bloke that only has a gut feeling?

Chris Wetherspoon has been great in the past taking the club the account, but since Donald made that remark about him hes going a bit too far trying to keep himself relevant. Tweeting “Gut feelings” wont help in the slightest.

Hes an interesting, clever guy but like a lot of internet warriors, he has a viewpoint and he'll use anything to fit into his narrative. He hates the owners and I find his constant attacks on them tiresome and quite damaging. Some of it fair comment but other times not so

bit shit is it? Might just be a lazy solution as it's already in place, with assurances it get's better.

i was going to say on a n other thread the catering had been heavily criticized for years by fans attending. ANY owner needs to sort that out. As has already been said, catering and other companies have been on easy street for years. Maybe taking the piss a bit?

The problem with SAFC is it's a "golden rice bowl" as they say in China. So, everyone takes the piss, knowing te customers will return regardless.

I don't see that situation changing anytime soon unlees fans actually stop, turning up.

If there’s no substance in Storey taking ownership, Donald really needs to come out and distance himself from it. Every tweet Storey makes is more embarrassing than the last and it’s the clubs name associated with it.

After 20 continuous seasons, I knocked me ST on the head after Moyes took us down. However, I’d actually cancelled it towards the end of a few of the previous seasons only to have a change of heart. One time I went into the ticket office to renew after cancelling n the lass on the desk says ‘Oh people like you always come back, what else are you going to do on a Saturday?!’. She was probably just jokin but there was a definite snideyness about the way she said it. It was at that point I realised that the club just view loyal supporters as paying customers regardless of the quality or product given in return. It’s so complacent its scary. I’ve no experience in hospitality or running a football club but I think someone like myself could make a big difference if employed or even consulted by the club. Its pretty clear it’s not gonna happen under this regime unfortunately.

Can we start the media campaign up again to get rid of this tw*t now please? RAWA, WMS, RR, and no fannies with the "not speaking for me" drivel. This absolute c*nt needs to be under no illusions that any other outcome other than him leaving is unacceptable. Hes going to have another go here, i would rather not go up this year if we could guarantee getting rid of him. If we somehow got promoted he would probably up his asking price to something even more ridiculous, not be able to fund a championship side and it will end up with us being back down here with him still in charge.

Owt been happening over the last week regarding the takeover rumour?

I'm looking forward to the football starting back up and putting this on the back burner in case it doesnt come off.

I think that's something that is likely to happen assuming nowt happens before the start of the season. The recent RAWA survey had a question about putting pressure on the owners and it said "82% would support Red and White Army applying pressure on the owners to sell to a reputable buyer and at a realistic price. 7% would not". That's a pretty big mandate for it. Anything further from RAWA would likely be ran past the members first, but the question likely wouldn't have been included if there was no intention of acting on it. Many will say there's nowt RAWA can do, which is right enough if Donald won't sell, but I think it's safe enough to assume that further pressure will be applied when the time is right. Said before though, a good, reputable group actually being prepared to confirm officially that they want to buy the club would be a huge boost in this regard.

Please

Donald is being given an easy ride by the likes of Barnes. And us of course. Mainly again. Because we have been duped Ashley style into thinking a takeover will happen.
