He certainly did , of that there is no doubt but his source also told him that it could be done sooner. If Chancer No 1 had given him the inside info regarding the sale, which time frame wise it could only have been him, then Barnes has been played. Should the sale ( insiders info to Barnes) not occur then if i were Barnes i'd drop whoever told me the info in it from a great height.. Lets be honest here, the info could only have came from Chancer No1 or Chancer No2 directly. Fox?, maybe the source but no one else at the Club. It is however so coincidental that this came from Barnes almost immediately his interview with Chancer No1 when it was revealed the Club had entered into a exclusivity agreements. i think a reasonable person would conclude that the sale of the club was in progress.
We will find out in due time I suppose

The general rules after January 1 are as follows (assuming footballers are considered skilled workers, which isn't obvious from the wording):

Skilled workers
The points-based system will include a route for skilled workers who have a job offer from an approved employer sponsor.

From January 2021, the job you’re offered will need to be at a required skill level of (equivalent to A level). You’ll also need to be able to speak English and be paid the relevant salary threshold by your sponsor. This will either be the general salary threshold of £25,600 or the going rate for your job, whichever is higher.

If you earn less than this - but no less than £20,480 - you may still be able to apply by ‘trading’ points on specific characteristics against your salary. For example, if you have a job offer in a or have a PhD relevant to the job.

Details of how the points system will work are in the .

There will not be a general route for employers to recruit at or near the minimum wage.

If you’re not already a licensed sponsor and you think you’ll want to sponsor migrants through the skilled worker route from January 2021, you should .

Global talent scheme
The will be opened up to EU, EEA and Swiss citizens. It will allow highly-skilled scientists and researchers to come to the UK without a job offer.

There's a huge number of hoops a footballer needs to jump though - not least of which is establishing what is the going rate for the job. Whether the skill level equates to RQF3 or not is another interesting one. It could be that footballer don't fit into this matrix at all, and they're going to have to have a special scheme for the,

Its mental that posters on here are holding Barnes to account over general information he received about ownership and timescale. He was given some info and shared it. Can people not just accept that as meaning there are takeover talks going on and we will hear something in due course?

That being the case, Should Barnes give up his informants identity? I know I would i I'd thought I'd been played for a patsy. Lets be honest , its the only sensible thing he can do if he wants to save his reputation.

a journalist will not give up who gives them information.

he may not have been played at all.

In any case, things can be said, that at that time, were perfectly correct. As things progress, things may change and the future event does not happen as previously expected.

He reported what he had been told.

As long as the Chancer's continue to leak Cash that force them to reevaluate their position, then that can only benefit the club in the long run, provided there is still a club at the end of it.

Probably not even though about!

Let's just be thankful that every day that passes is another day when Bullsh*t Billy/ZZ Pop/Poundshop Gandalf has nothing to do with the club. Hopefully more credible owners will be along soon.
