It wasn't £20m+ was still owed to short, and he stole that money from the club to pay that debt.

And Short is complicit with this lie.

You should have another listen to the early stuff as that’s the opposite of what he said - specifically denying that Short was getting the PPs for one. He even claimed he could get us to the PL without outside help ‘if he got it right’

I couldn't give a shite about any of that or anything else right now. I want him gone because the club is failing. The foundations are all but gone.

First interview he said they were paying Short £40m for the club and that the club was debt free. It’s all there if you can be arsed.

Someone should ask where the Dortmund model disappeared to!
Even the Burnley model would be an improvement, or the model of any one of half the Premiership clubs whose potential and fan bases are nowhere near ours, but who thrive because they are far better organised and display a professionalism that we sadly lack.
That a club with our facilities and incredibly loyal support are in the third tier and finished last season below clubs like Fleetwood, Wycombe and Oxford says everything about the shambolic way we have been run.

Charlie clarified what he meant, I think it was my question on roker report podcast.

He said he didnt mean doing what actually made them successful, just that they have there own identity and that we would in kind attempt to kick above our weight.

Twas when I realised I had made a very big mistake thinking they were mint.

So do we know if he ever repayed ES or has he only paid the initial £5m then used the parachute payments?
Because if he hasn’t repayed him he’s just swindled our club out of a lot of money if he gets his asking price

I did, for ages. I hate to see anyone condemned without a trial. But it became apparent what his game was. To continue to try and justify what he’s done, and is still doing is beyond comprehension.
