Durham v Notts (H) T20

Durham are crying out for a quality slow bowler and even a Colly style of bowler where there is no pace on the ball is a huge miss. I can honestly say I have no idea what plan Rimmington Potts and Coughlin are trying to bowl to they just look like canon fodder. Time they got Rushy back in the team and probably Raine and bowled at the stumps with the keeper standing up.

I take it that it's not his decision. I know last season he didn't hide his disappointment at not being involved in one day cricket.

I don’t believe it is his decision. I think at his age he wants to play as much as he can.

I don’t understand not playing him. The red ball season is much shorter, so surely a few T20 games shouldn’t make any difference. Hopefully they revisit this decision

They have downgraded the white ball stuff for years. I know Onions’ strongest suit was always the red ball but it was frustrating watching him carrying drinks second rate players were playing ahead of him.

There are only three competitions - why not try our best in all three, particularly when we are so weak and completely out of the running in the BWT?

And admit to making an error? -history suggests not. I think that he chose to umpire elsewhere says what he thinks of his omission. Bowling stump to stump at least gives you a chance of bowling to your field and Rushy, Raine, even Harte are best at that.

Surprised Harte was not named in the squad for the Lancashire game. Nearest style of cricketer we currently have to compare to Colly.
