Test match umpires DRS statistics

Ghfd

Striker
It’s in the new edition of The Cricketer magazine the top ten in the age of DRS.

I will post it up after I finish my tea. Have a guess at the top three with the least amount of overturned decisions

When was DRS brought in? 10 years ago? More?

Kettlebrough a shoe in I reckon, had an astounding Gough like record at one point, Gough obviously. Last one is tricky, that South African possibly? Kuertzen is it?

1 Gough 15.58% decisions overturned. He is nearly 8 percentage points ahead of the next best.

I’ll give a bit more time for the others
Dharmasena not even in the top 10
He is in the top ten

Kuertzen no

Where abouts? I'm amazed that he's in the top 10, although there are only 12 of Elite Panel umpires (I think?)

1 gough 15.58% overturned

2 tucker 23.15%

3 gould 23.56%

4 kettleborough 23.62%

5 Asad Rauf 23.68

6 oxenford 24.29%

7 dharmasena 24.33%

8 Bowden 24.34

9 aleem dar 25.25%

10 SJ Davis 25.74%

qualifying is at least 50 decisions reviewed

this shows how highly Gough is performing at and also a canny few current umpires are way behind the list above.

Aye frig knows where I dug him up from. It was Erasmus I meant anyway
Dar (reminds me of the lad that used to post here) and Dharmasena in the top ten
The aleem dar on here was a leg spinner. Also known as the ball bouncing twice before the batsman. Good lad though

these stats are for test matches only, I think with Dharmasena he is noticed more in the ODI stuff, especially last years World Cup

whats worrying is the amount of retired umpires in the top ten and how wide the gap is with Gough and the rest of the elite panel now

Did it have the % of the current icc elite panel? Haven't been impressed with illingworth so I'm expecting him to be quite high

Not in the magazine. I’ve been looking but can’t find a list of the current lot.

gough though is miles ahead

found this. In one category Dharmasena is second best @dixonsafc

thought you meant top would be the highest %

was about to wade in defending gough!

very noticable in the first test or so since resumption how many overturned reviews there were, clearly the umpires lost their form much like the batsmen did

 Gough is miles ahead of the all time drs era umpires. The lack of active current umpires in the top ten is striking. That needs addressing by the ICC
