Hasn’t helped himself with his lies, that caused the fans to start asking questions and it was always going to turn bad when we didn’t go up!
Has bob alluded to any time line for this investment?

Tbf it was only when the FPP takeover fell through last year and Parkinson got appointed that the fanbase turned largely hostile towards Donald. Up until that point I think he was still reasonably well liked even if there were huge doubts that he was the right man to run the club.

I agree he's said a lot of things, if you listen to his interview with Barnes though he basically admits that, he said he didn't realise that absolutely everything he said would be scrutinized to the nth degree, you have to remember that someone who's grown up supporting Oxford doesn't really appreciate what it's like to live amongst north east football, you don't get this kind of scrutiny in any London club, I mean of course you get fans who hate you but we as fans have absolutely chewed the fat over everything he's ever said on a podcast, he probably just thought he'd have a bit if crack with fans and a pint and we'd all just understand if we didn't get promoted which isn't ever gonna happen at a club like ours in league one.

However, that doesn't make him a chancer or a charlatan.

He bought the club trying to make a profit thinking look at it it will bounce back and I'll make a few million. It didnt work out and there is no plan B. Because there is no money. That comes across like he took a chance

Also he bent the truth so many times with the parachute payments! If hed been honest from the start saying iv bought the club but Ellis takes the parachute payments and we have to tighten up a bit. People would be far less aggressive towards his errors.

CM hasn't helped with the Anti-northern rhetoric

Think he means Furnham buying SD out. "internal shares reshuffle" has confused a lot of people I think. They source is regarding GF as "internal" because of the loan but people are assuming otherwise.

So.....it sounds to me like Barnes is confirming what Magnus said yesterday. GF buying SD out, Sartori's FiL buying Methven out presumably to keep an oar in. Sartori keeping what he has.
Good to hear, roll on tomorrows board meeting

Yup. I’ve had serious doubts about his running of the club for a while. He’s always been a complete lightweight who didn’t possess the necessary vision or intelligence to deliver success to safc and I’ve thought that for at least 18 months. However, it’s only over the last 9 months that it’s become clear that his motives aren’t for the long term benefit of Safc - and with that pressure from fans have come the embarrassing histrionics.

That recent meeting being the best example.

He did iirc. I was always under the impression this was the case and I'm not sure how I'd have known otherwise.

There's so many faults with the man, but this isn't one of them. He's been fairly honest about what he's done in most aspects. It's the consistent lies about what he's going to do that he hasn't delivered on, and the things he has done have in most part been absolutely awful.

It doesn't help him that it's easier to remember the bad rather than good.
