Someone mentioned on here they were mates, which made them meeting up for a pint (away from club property) seem more plausible. Him showing up and doing some very public/beligerent interfering seems calculated to me.

It can be. But it can also be something that simply drives potential buyers away. I think that is especially the case in business. Most businesspeople won't want to think they've agreed a deal only to see something major change late on, certainly not on the sellers side (the buying side could find things in due diligence etc but the seller shouldn't be making demands late on) . It just makes a mockery of his stated desire to sell up and get out if he's prepared to risk what must have been an agreeable deal, especially if (as seems to be the case) it's not even a financial thing holding it up. Anyone would think he doesn't actually want to go.

Ah ok. I wondered if Rodwell might have been sent down to find out what the f*ck he was doing.

Still think Storey is just trying to stir the fans / force something. He’d be quiet if he was in a good position.

Beginning to look like he's selling the club down the river with this absolute crook to look after his mate JR. Bang on form, been fleecing the club to employ his mates since he showed up.

f***ing hate every single one of the people involved presently.

Im not doubting you mate because I have no idea whats going on but if this is the case then there needs to be a leak and the fans need to know because we cant be messing on any longer. If pressure needs to be applied to get the deal done then so be it.

We are three weeks away from the start of the season - SAFC can not have another season in Div 3.

I have defended the current owners but if this group has major backing by hook or by crook the deal has to be done for the good of everyone.

Not sure there's any substance to Storey being mates with Rodwell, but if he is moving into the box seat as it were then questions will need to start being asked. My opinion is that this bloke shouldn't be near the club, almost regardless of who his backers are I can't see him as Chairman being positive for the club. Understand we may be limited in terms of what we can do but I'm certain RAWA will apply what pressure they can should it become obvious he is in the driving seat.
