Clue in the nameThe North Sea isn’t an ocean?
North Atlantic? It's part of an ocean though.
A complete change is needed at SAFC. Not shuffling the deckchairs. Any new owner would not want the legacy of having the failed previous owners hanging around SAFC. The supporters certainly would not want SD and the others including PP remainingOr make sure that you retain the job you've just taken on. It sounds from the snippets we've had that the other party will be refusing to work with Donald so maybe/probably his job is at risk. It is possibly beneficial to his career not to have Gray and Co.
I usually agree with your posts GG but fuck me that's convoluted bordering on conspiracy theory.Agreed. I'll be amazed if he has good backers who actually want to entrust him with spending millions of quid. As you say, anyone now googling Storey sees a load of stuff about him trying to buy Sunderland, speaking to the media about it. In short, being taken seriously. All of a sudden you see one of the photos of him next to an expensive car that he doesn't own and you assume its his. He's a bloke negotiating to buy a football club, of course that will be his Lamborghini. The illusion of success.
This is great for him. Its also very useful for Donald. No one sensible will pay his asking price, but he can keep this bloke around, make it look like he's serious, and it suggests that maybe his price is right, because Storey will pay it. He might randomly, against everything we've seen, be the real deal. But until he's actually in the driving seat to buy the club I'll assume this is a mutually beneficial arrangement for Donald and Storey, hence the ridiculously public meeting when they've got a git massive stadium with loads of rooms sitting there unused
This is the closest thing to a credible explanation I have come across. However I am beginning to worry for the mental health of The Don; firstly that laughable ruse about fans kidnapping his daughter; then thinking this bearded buffoon is going to put pressure on anyone. I know a couple of seriously rich blokes who invest in all kinds of things, and they don't front up bids with a freak-looking known liar, whose 'sponsorship' of an F1 team ended in a very public farce. Apparently Haas's performance and the 'too PC' ethos of F1 was holding back the sales of his non-existent drink-product!Storey gets wind there's a board meeting yesterday and figures it's time to stir things up and get noticed so he jumps on a train.
Having him in town gives SD/the board an opportunity to put pressure on the other buyers so they send Rodwell to meet him for a very public pint.
Nah that was his unscrupulous business partners who were trying to steal his company man. Keep upThis is the closest thing to a credible explanation I have come across. TodayYou must be logged on to see external linksterminated our contract withYou must be logged on to see external linksfor poor performance. We aim to beatYou must be logged on to see external links& being behind in Austria is unacceptable. The politics and PC attitude in is also inhibiting our business. We wish the team well
Hopefully, Don will eventually sell to a real football based consortium, because entertaining this prick, even for a pint, is a disgrace.
Apparently it’s time Donald told everyone storey is in for the club
Yeah always thought ocean road in shields was a stupid nameThe North Sea isn’t an ocean?
Has Donald said that storey has made a bid or is it all storeys talk ?????Its pretty obvious he is. He has a bid accepted for the club does he not?

Not sure SD has said owt but the fact our CEO is meeting him speaks for itself imo
I don’t entirely agree with that. It’s too explosive. It’s better to keep the good bits and not crate havoc. Donald isn’t worth keeping though for certain.A complete change is needed at SAFC. Not shuffling the deckchairs. Any new owner would not want the legacy of having the failed previous owners hanging around SAFC. why? He met him cos he knows him and met for a pint what’s the big deal?
Storey is in pole position. The whole situation is very strange. Him posting about the club for weeks, then rocking up in the city before having a meeting with the CEO then going on local radio for an interview.
Seems enough there for it not to be just him trying to get a bit of attention for himself and his brand.
However, he's also admitted himself that another group is ahead of him in the queue. Why's he even here then? Trying to shift supporter opinion away from them to him? Very odd to do all this publicly unless you're desperate to do so. I wish the club hadn't entertained the idea to be honest.
My biggest fear is that he's the only party willing to allow SD to stay on or maintain shares and that will be enough for SD to make a bad choice for the club because it's better for him personally.
Yes.Its pretty obvious he is. He has a bid accepted for the club does he not?
Storey is in pole position.
Yes.
Bang on!There is a good reason our CEO is meeting him like and its not for a pint and a game of cards
