Played in 11 of 16 games - more than just a reserve I’d argue.
But didn't actually take an active part in winning the 3 championships you mentioned.
Another fact for why I don't think Muchall was a quality county batsmen he never scored 1000 first class runs in a season. Even Gary Pratt managed that and he got released.

It's probably one a season wow impressive

f***ing hell chopper, do you even like cricket?

The way the team is going at present they’d kill for someone who scores a ton a season and averages 29

Alright then, but he WAS a key part of the 2009 success. He played in the first 11 games, before Chanderpaul arrived and took his place. The title was clinched in the 14th game.

I don’t understand the mentality of some people on this thread mind, we’ve got a bloke who played for Durham for 15 seasons and was an integral part of our glory years.

To be honest I thought that would be something we could all agree on

Fair enough mate let's just say that's one player in Durham's history we don't agree on.

Spot on about Muchall. Overall a good one to have around.

I can’t understand those trying to understate his contribution. f***ing baffling.

Regular readers will know I was one of his biggest critics on here for years - but you cannot doubt that he was a very valuable asset to the club during our rise and dominance.

I’m putting it down to Covid Cabin Fever.

How don’t we though? As I said, I was one of his BIGGEST critics on here for years, but surely you have to admit he was a valuable member of our cricket team for a good decade or so.......?

Absolute top lad and as I have said one of the most decent genuine of the Durham players You could meet.

You answer mine why be critical of a valuable member

Well seeing as I asked you first and you’ve only asked me a question to avoid having to answer the one I posed you - I’m happy to answer yours once you’ve given me the privilege of an answer.

Done nothing since his ban. Lucky to be the best of a bad lot, who wouldn't get a sniff at another county, in the middle order.
