Yeah seen that quote which is why it’s strange she came out and said it wasn’t an issue but they tried to sort it anyways
Just optics isn't it? Like both sides of the WTO dispute claiming absolute victory. Staveley, and whoever else, will say what they think their intended audience wants to hear. Doesn't matter if it's bollocks to the rest of us, as long as the right people hear it.
I want him out but the 17 million doesn't bother me.
It doesn't effect us in anyway
Aye, I couldn't care less if he's got a £17m bonus this year, it's not come from the club, the fans, or the league. Won't be going to the club, the fans, or the league either.

Still a few journalists kicking about saying the Saudis are still keen, if they’ve withdrawn their offer how are they still keen? Am I missing something??

Their sense of entitlement and decency knows no bounds ! How the media don’t pick up on this and show them up for the shallow wankers they are is staggering and a missed opportunity to show them up as unhinged
They go on about how if it had been any other team the bid would have been accepted, they don’t mention the slack they are given in the media for being absolutely the worst whoppers when it comes to drama and not being able to accept things that happen with outrage attention seeking

Statement by Charnley on behalf of Ashley says Never say Never Ashley is 100% committed to this deal. Jim White passes this message on to his friend Amanda Staveley who responds “This is great news”
Wtf ?
I reckon the Saudi’s got wind their bid was gonna be kicked out and saved face by getting in first. Simon Jordan doesn’t think it will be resurrected and neither do I. 👍🍾🖕🏽

Fortunately my mental health is fairly strong now but I've been down to the bottom and its dark down there. I had no help and it took me a long time and a big fight to get back to somewhere normal so its something I have a strong opinion on (if you hadn't noticed from my rants)
I didn’t like this post because of what you‘ve been through but because things are on the up and better for you x

Who's saying that? The saudis literally said yesterday there were other factors at play in their decision i.e. the corona virus collapsing economies world wide.

I've seen a couple of quotes from Staveley and Charney trying to save face but nowt from the saudis. Despite f***ing up Staveley amazingly has the mags around her little finger. Mental.

All I said was that Ashley has been very shrewd, seventeen million for doing nothing and still at status quo is definitely good business. Of course it affects you, you all to a man want him gone, or are you involved in the financial package to say that doesn’t affect you personally?

That Mark Saggers on twitter

He's got a canny set of balls on him that Richard Masters mind.

4 months of none stop news stories about how brutal the Saudi regime is, chopping up journalists for writing negative stories about them, the torture and execution of people that disagree with them etc etc etc.
Then you spend four months embarrassing them internationally, you torpedo their deal, not only that but you do it in a way that costs them 17 million....... takes a canny bit of backbone that.

We absolutely must hold the Saudi regime to book.

I'm astonished that the FA have effectively turned the Saudis away but happy nonetheless (and that's before I watched our precious Northern brethren descend into apoplexy).

I have to be honest, I think this takeover bid may still have some legs as the UK government are historically not great at turning overseas investors away.

That's the bit that surprised me.
The kind of money they would have put in - not just to the club but into the city and surrounding area - will not be replicated by anyone else.
You would have thought Boris would have forced it through as it would have had a big economic impact on a region that desperately needs it.
