New coach. It's not happening. A club being sold does NOT give out contracts to players, coaches and sponsors 😁😁
I don't think you can read much into that, it's an assistant under 23 coach, ins and outs of low level staff would carry on as normal through a take over.

I did think the sponsorship deal was telling however.

I agree. Its like them appointing a physio or a new head of HR. Wether it goes through or not, the club need people in those positions and its very unlikely a new Saudi regime would be looking to replace youth coaches or physios straightaway.

Regardless of takeover the club needs to function. Especially if its not imminent.

The Sponsorship deal is more telling. The Saudis bid will have been based on figures on the old deal with Fun88, and any proposed extension. You would imagine if the new regime came in they would not want to be tied in with something long term.

If this deal was close, or going through at all, I would hae expected a Mike Ashley company sponsoring the club on a short term deal.

Yer i agree, news of the new sponsorship deal was the point I started to think the deal was more likely to fail than it was to go through.

I think the EPL want to block it but are unable to do so based on their own criteria, so they are just stalling it and waiting for it to go away.

Utterly embarrassing

If anyone is allowing a potential takeover of a football club to impact on their mental health then they need to seriously re-evaluate their life and the MPs should be embarrassed at focusing on such a trivial and meaningless matter.

Would be absolutely mortified if any Sunderland MP's started going on about our situation.

All it shows is nufc are absolute sad bastards with nothing else in their lives.

An embarrassment for the north east and sets the thick Geordie stereotype back another 20 years
Aye I agree it's pretty sad if you're one of the people contacting your local MP and telling him your mental health is suffering because of something that's happening at your football club you're not happy with.

I mean once you go down this road what's next, before they know it they will be meeting Richard Masters little girl off the school bus and frog marching her home so they can demand answers from him on his door step.
Some f***ing fans, what they like eh!

Has that happened to someone else? Because if that had happened to me/my daughter the I'd be in police custody for assault and it would be all over the papers and I've not seen any of that in the news......

Well said, it’s making a mockery of those who are genuinely in a bad place mentally.

They need a long hard look at themselves, it’s embarrassing.
