Third Test - England v West Indies (Old Trafford)

Raining pretty heavily again here and this was supposed to be the best of the weather today, I think that's it.

Shame, though I was considering any overs today to be an unexpected bonus.
Will keep a keen eye on tomorrows forecast, heavy winds make it unpredictable even 24 hours away.

We've got them 2 down with a minimum of 98 overs to bowl assuming we have no play today. If we cannot take 8 wickets in a full day where they already have one foot on the plane then it's down to our bowling/fielding and nothing to do with not declaring early enough

You won’t get 98 overs tomorrow. Could easily get one session from the last two days. 8 wickets is gettable in 30 overs but isn’t guaranteed by any stretch. Would be a lot more achievable if they were 5 down having bowled 20 overs yesterday...

It’s all about maximising your chances, and we aren’t doing that. Do you think that great Australian side would be 58-0 off 30 overs or whatever it was yesterday setting a declaration with rain around?

At the time of the declaration, Tuesday's forecast was clear (it still is by the way) so there is no reason to think we won't get a full day

There will be plenty rain tomorrow. But it shouldn't be a wash out.
The Met office are predicting showers for most of the day.
Can we just finish it during Friday's heat wave?

Talk of the first session being interrupted \washed out tomorrow, would bring Windies right back into it for the draw
