All my adult life Sunday morning meant getting the Sunday Sun, and quickly turning to the Cricket section, reading all the scorecards, analysing who got runs, wickets etc, etc. Then, checking the league tables seeing which teams were doing well and which ones were not doing so well.
I know everything is on computer these days, BUT, it wasn't the same as the Sunday Sun !
Got the paper today and noticed 11 full pages of, almost, non existent football. The writing was on the wall !
Eventually found, approximately, 1/4 of a page with a short write up of some Cricket games.
Then, yes I did, checking the computer, found a Twitter feed saying that the "REGIONAL PRESS " had informed cricket leagues that they would no longer print cricket scorecards !!
WHAT ???
Sad decision, but now decided to stop buying the Sunday Sun. End of an era !
