Forecast looks clear until 8, think we'll get a full day in but conditions don't look like changing. If the England bowlers hit their straps in these conditions we'll be batting again today.Where’s the rain?

'SIMPLY THE BESSDom. Lovely boy. I’m not watching yet but my alerts are beeping.
He’s not. He’s a bowler who can hold the bat (not well on England evidence, but good for Sussex). Bess is also not an all rounderWhy is archer classes as an all rounder? Barely see him bat time or get a score
Love it. Everyone will get there in the end'SIMPLY THE BESS

Interesting that. Gilchrist was obviously a freak but when you look at Prior and Bairstow then Buttler's record is pretty poorShall I do the research?
Dhoni - 33/6 (90 tests)
Pant - 2/2 (13)
Watling - 18/8 (70)
Dowrich - 8/3 (31)
Bairstow - 21/6 (70)
McCullum - 31/12 (101)
Prior - 72/7 (79)
Boucher - 35/5 (147)
Russell - 6/2 (54)
Jones - 6/1 (34)
Dujon - 16/5 (81)
Healy - 22/4 (119)
Haddin- 18/4 (66)
Gilchrist - 26/17 (96)
De Kock - 21/5 (47)
Paine - 7/0 (31)
and
Buttler - 16/1 (42)
I’ve just picked the first keepers I can think of, it’s not meant to be selective. Paine aside, he has the lowest hundreds per test ratio.

... And when Bess is anointed as our Master, you will be seen as a visionary. Then we will gather around you and say, 'Prophet. Speak to us again of our footballing saviour, Craig McLaughlin'.Love it. Everyone will get there in the end

He's only had three gamesHe’s known as a good fielder tbf. I believe he averaging a catch per match or something.
Fully agreed. Archer has looked crap at international levelArcher averages 25 for Sussex with a top score of 81. Bess averages 23 for Somerset with a top score of 107. Not a lot between them. Different matter at test level, Bess has shown more.
Some name here like.....You made a table
we should add more keepers. Whack in Alec Stewart, Ramdin, Khan, Jacobs and Parore. Oh and Andy Flower
run as keeper
