I read this with tears in my eyes. I really, for the 1st time in my 52 years, feel for them and what they've been through.

Rafa leaving after MA wouldnt give him a 20% pay rise despite spending over £80m while being there and still being rubbish.

MA spending £80m on players over the last 18 months

Bringing in an experienced Head Coach who loves the club and cementing their PL status with 5 games to go, still in with a shot at Europe at that time and taking them further in the Cup than in the last decade. Pundits stating what an amazing job hes done and almost nominated for Manager of the year.

Having world class players like the goalie and ASM (Also a Brazilian worth £43m and that kid who won the competition and plays when they let him out of the Centre for a few hours)

Financially saving them millions on interest payments by loaning them over £100m and making them Financially secure.

Giving away 10k tickets to people from Fenham who couldn't afford to go anymore and meaning they could still afford to go to the match AND buy 2 bottles of Frosty Jack's per day.

Bringing sponsors into the club and signing long term deals.

Yes they have had it bad and surely deserve better. The guy even states he would have our chancers over MA.

The deluded self entitled scruffy bastards havent got a clue how bad it is.
I don't understand this reasoning mind, so because they are two divisions above us they should be thankful for what they have got and take pity on us? They have been going nowhere for years, just making up the numbers in the premier league playing shite uninspiring football. I don't believe for one second that if we were in their position we would all be happy, it's human nature to want that bit more.

I don't think we would either.

The reality is to match their ambitions and get back to where they once were (in our language also rans) they don't need a new owner they need a sugar daddy willing to stick 50-100m in each year. I am sure there is a half way house (sorting out the academy, commercial side of things etc.), but ambitions will need to be lowered significantly.

Look at Everton (net spend, a stat mags love):

19/20: 107.91 - 72.45 = 35.46
18/19: 89.82 - 25.79 = 64.03
17/18: 182.88 - 113.74 = 69.14

Cumulatively 168.63m (plus wages).....for FIVE more points than the mags.

I agree, you can apply this to football or any walk of life.
We all want to improve to feel like we are moving forward.
If the take over goes through I will be happy if we are not spending the season in a relegation battle and i will be happy with that the season after and the season after. At some point though I will consider us a club that is not in danger of relegation and then just avoiding the relegation battle will not be enough and i'll want to see us moving forward and pushing for the European slot.
winning the PL doesn't cross my mind but if we spent 10yrs off the bounce finishing comfortably in the top 4 then I would be wanting to push on and win the thing.
This doesn't make me entitled it just means I want to move forward and not stagnate.
This idea that we should be happy just to survive in the PL and thank our lucky stars just because Sunderland are even worse is ridiculous.

I remember listening to an Arsenal fan on the radio towards the end of Wengers era whining they had ‘only’ won about 5 FA Cups, and thinking he was a tosser. Its all relative. Bury fans could look at anyone and say they shouldnt moan.

That's not what I was saying mate.

They would take anyone over Ashley, even our wankers. The point I'm making is they howl like fannies about everything that happens when they dont know how lucky they are. Even if the Saudis do buy them, they'll wail when they dont win everything. It's like a person who wins a million on the lottery then complains it wasnt a million and 1.

It's the Mag way.

I think Bury fans have got a cheek to moan tbh. There'll be former fans of non league clubs that have gone out of existence who never even had the chance to see their team play in the league, the fa cup 3rd round or even the league cup. Bury fans wanna count themselves thankful for what they had
