I think this is one issue most would agree on, you can argue it should go through and you can argue it shouldn't but they have all the information so a decision either way should have been made.

My suspicion is they have no legal grounds to block it on and they pass the test as it stands, however because of (insert your reason) they don''t want it to go through so they are doing nothing, sticking their heads in the sand and hoping it will go away.

If I was Richard Masters and they ask him to come to the embassy to discuss it I wouldn't be accepting the offer though, thy must be getting right pissed off.

My feeling is that the PL have said that it can go through... but the Saudis need to play ball on the TV rights issue and pay compensation to BeIn/The PL

Saudis wont do either, and are not withdrawing the offer in the hope the PL back down if they make the right noises.
PL wont back down but wont say its off or on. Its on if the Saudis agree to pay up. But its not off because they dont want the hassle

Complete stalemate.

Good analysis.

Ah so he wasn't to pay debt at same time. You don't half only select what makes your argument 😂

If he paid interest of 6m and brought debt down 10m a season that's 160m over ten seasons.

I severely doubt nufc would have made much more than that using different companies to Sports direct.

IT totally neutralises any point regarding hospitality income
Hang on, why's he now charging interest AND paying down the debt? Also, if the debt is decreasing by £10m a year, why is charging the same amount in interest for year 10 as he was in year one? If he was paying himself back £10m a season and 6% interest on the outstanding debt, by year 10 the amount payable as interest is down to £600k.

If he was to pay himself £10m and charge 6% interest, NUFC would pay off the debt in 10yrs and have paid c£33m in interest. £133m over 10years is £13.3m a year.

Orrrr, he could keep the debt, and charge interest at 6% on it and earn £6m a year for 10yrs to the tune of £60m, and still be owed £100m by the club.

Maths isn't your strong point is it.

The scenarios are

He doesn't charge club interest and uses sports direct

Or
He gets third party sponsorship while issuing the debt to a bank.

100m debt plus 6% (and that's being kind) would mean a total debt of 160m

The interest agreed at the start of a loan doesn't change. It only changes if additional payments on top of the agreed payment plan happen.

Paying roughly 1.3m a month for the payment plan and it's interest would accrue 160m 😂

Maybe who knows.

makes a mockery of what Richard Masters says if so though, as he said it's a legal process which is plain for all to see.
if this is the case you pass it as there is nothing to disqualify you or you fail it because there is.

If what you think is happening is happening then the EPL are saying well you have passed but we won't sign of on it until you complete our wish list which would be blackmail.
wouldn't surprise me like, not saying you're wrong.

Wraiths been on twitter demanding an answer because of their Mental Health. The letter and that fact should see an announcement by around 1pm I'm guessing
Mental health. 😂😂😂 That ship sailed many many years ago.

You see, when I went to school, 6% of 100 was 6, not 60

Said it a while back that if a football takeover is affecting your mental health then you really need to look at what’s happening in your life and reevaluate what is important.

Given what has happened in 2020 so far this should not even come close. Frustrating, yes, but mental health, no way. Football is at the end of it all just a game. Not life and death. I was much more gutted about cup final defeats, relegations and derby defeats then this like.

Well said, you seem to be all the things People like wraith arent.
Wraith appointing himself as spokesman for the fans won’t be helpful. It’s a pity someone couldn’t have a word.

I've just seen the article in the Mirror...what complete bullshit....how in earth would Simon Bird know...nobody knows...there is a non disclosure contract signed...
Complete guesswork and Clickbait at it's worst .

Would be surprised if it went through but the fact that Bird, Edwards and Keys are the only ones who seem to be reporting on this latest 'development' suggests that the story is probably a load of shite.

You never mentioned issuing it to a bank. You said Ashley didn't charge interest, then you suggested he take £10m a year from NUFC, plus the interest. I posited 6% as that's in line with the interest that the West Ham owners charge. If you're now saying that Ashley decided that the loan was to be repaid in 10yrs and he'd frontload the interest, then this is all new information to me and not in your original, or subsequent posts until this one.

You're shifting goalposts again Banks.

I read this with tears in my eyes. I really, for the 1st time in my 52 years, feel for them and what they've been through.

Rafa leaving after MA wouldnt give him a 20% pay rise despite spending over £80m while being there and still being rubbish.

MA spending £80m on players over the last 18 months

Bringing in an experienced Head Coach who loves the club and cementing their PL status with 5 games to go, still in with a shot at Europe at that time and taking them further in the Cup than in the last decade. Pundits stating what an amazing job hes done and almost nominated for Manager of the year.

Having world class players like the goalie and ASM (Also a Brazilian worth £43m and that kid who won the competition and plays when they let him out of the Centre for a few hours)

Financially saving them millions on interest payments by loaning them over £100m and making them Financially secure.

Giving away 10k tickets to people from Fenham who couldn't afford to go anymore and meaning they could still afford to go to the match AND buy 2 bottles of Frosty Jack's per day.

Bringing sponsors into the club and signing long term deals.

Yes they have had it bad and surely deserve better. The guy even states he would have our chancers over MA.

The deluded self entitled scruffy bastards havent got a clue how bad it is.
