Puma deal extended as well. Would have though a gambling company wouldn’t be high on the Saudis choice of sponsor.

'Long term' Fun88 sponsor extension confirmed this morning. Puma deal also been extended. Hear new home kit could be unveiled on Sunday v Liverpool.

Allowing women to drive and endorsing online gaming - whatever next from these progressive Saudi's.
Bars selling Brown Ale in Riyadh would be my guess

strange that. Long term as well. Wasn’t the situation that they were continuing as if it wasn’t going to happen even though it still might. The only thing I can see here is that why would a potential new owner agree to a new long term sponsorship unless there’s a clause it can be changed if the ownership changes.
The official line is business as usual until it's done.

To me that would mean the time line on the contract was such that it could not be postponed any longer and they have had no choice but to tie the new owners into it or they now know the deal is dead so it's back to the status quo.
No facts to back that up with just guess work mind.

My gut feeling now is it's less likely to go through than is likely but time will tell.
At least it's not fat mikes fault this time.

I assume the PIF only invests in Shariah compliant investments ..... and the association with a gambling firm surely makes NUFC non-compliant.

considering how heavily they are invested in banking I doubt they will give a rats arse other than the fact they would probably want to negotiate their own deal.

The club have announced a extension of the Fun88 sponsorship for "a number of years to come"

Doesn't sound like good news for the take over to me. (from a NUFC fans perspective obviously)
Strange Andy, isnt there something about gambling companies being banned as shirt sponsors some time this year?
why the hell has Steve frigging wraith got a blue tick !??!?!?! 🤷‍♂️ he's not a celebrity, or famous etc
He heard a well known fan would be appointed to the board and he’s throwing everything at it.

What banking investments do they have?

couldn't tell you, I thought in all of the guff I have read about the take over in the last few months that i read they bought into a couple of American banks along with a cruise company and Disney and a few others, I might be mistaken though, not something i have a interest in so it probably just went in one ear and out the other.
Didn't Qatar or UAE have some sort of buy in a loan agreement with Barclays as well, was that not what the Staveley court case is about? again I may well be wrong there, just stuff floating around the back of my head someplace.
